Though my grandson is a tall, gangly 12-year-old now, and not into cutesy things -- if ever boys are at all -- my inner child directed me to make these
napkin turkeys for our Thanksgiving table. The idea stemmed from a couple of Pinterest boards. I felt as if I were back in kindergarten, cutting out the little turkey faces from some Web clipart. It was a calming activity before the hustle and bustle of getting the big bird prepped and into the oven, and synchronizing the cooking times so that nothing got cold before we sat down for the annual feast. The tablecloth is one that I'd bought for next to nothing on clearance -- goodness knows how long ago -- at Maxx or Marshall's. French country with an autumn look, I think.
